The record continues the Japanese group's signature blend of J-pop and heavy metal, this time featuring collaborations with artists including Poppy, Electric Callboy, Slaughter to Prevail, and Bloodywood across its opening tracks. The album was produced by BABYMETAL's longtime creative force Kobametal.

Metal Forth received generally favorable reviews upon release, earning an average score of 76 out of 100 on Metacritic based on nine critic reviews. The album also carries a notable pedigree, with the opening track co-written and produced by Jordan Fish of Bring Me the Horizon, continuing a creative relationship that began with the 2020 collaboration "Kingslayer."
