Philadelphia singer-songwriter and guitarist Kurt Vile teams up with Nashville songwriter Luke Roberts for Classic Love, a collaborative EP released in 2025 on Verve Records. The pair, who first connected as admirers of each other's work after meeting on MySpace, bring their distinctive musical styles together for a reflective and understated collection rooted in rock. Recorded across sessions in Athens, GA, Philadelphia, and Great Falls, the EP carries a warmth and intimacy that reflects its various origins.

Classic Love explores themes of memory, longing, and the bittersweet nature of relationships — what one writer described as the feeling that "most love exists in the past tense." The EP features two versions of the title track penned by Roberts, an original Vile composition, a reworking of a track from his 2008 debut, and a cover of Beach House's "Wildflower," making it a rich and varied listen that showcases the range and thoughtfulness both artists bring to their craft.
