After a six-year hiatus, British artist Sampha returns with Lahai, his deeply personal second studio album released in 2023 through Young. Named after his paternal grandfather — and his own middle name — the record finds Sampha in a reflective, evolving place, blending his signature electronic-influenced sound with elements of soul and R&B. Collaborators including El Guincho, Kwake Bass, and kwes. join him in crafting an album that feels both expansive and intimately human.
