The Waited For by Klimt, also known as The Waiting, is an Italian jacquard wall tapestry. It is an extract from The Stocklet Frieze by Gustav Klimt (1862 - 1918). Austrian-born Klimt wasn’t always appreciated for his inventive and symbolic style. The subjects of his paintings were considered controversial at the time because of their erotic nature.
